Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona, Friday, May 16, 1969, Page 59: Glendale---Mrs. Nancy May Thompson, 71, who came here in 1925 from Du Quoin, Ill., and was a member of the Glendale Church of Christ, died Wednesday in Phoenix Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Thompson, 7th Avenue and Northern, was born in Christopher, Ill. Survivors include her husband, William B.; five daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Ayers and Mrs. Wilma Moore, both of Phoenix, Mrs. Bertha Sharp and Mrs. Martha Strickler, both of Glendale and Mrs. Edna Green of Willcox; a son, Melvin W. of Glendale; three sisters Ruby Whitlow, Mrs. Beulah Fishel and Mrs. Claudney Stevens, all of Glendale; two brothers, Edward Kirkpatrick of Phoenix and Marion Kirkpatrick of Glendale; three sister and a brother out of state; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Chapel of Chimes, 5852 W. Glenn Drive. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
