Daily Illinois State Journal, Springfield, Illinois, Sunday February 27, 1944, Page 16, Col. 7: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Novotnak, 2123 North Seventeenth street, have received word of the marriage of their son, Corp. Paul Robert Novotnak, and Miss Eleanor Jean Creitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Creitz, Beloit, Kan. The ceremony was performed Feb. 5 in the chapel of St. Mary's cathedral in Cheyenne, Wyo., with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sankot, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, as attendants. Corporal Novotnak was employed by Shanklin Manufacturing Co., before entering the service. He is now stationed at Fort Francis E. Warren, Wyo. Mrs. Novotnak is a registered nurse.
