Charles, his wife, and his children lived in Allandale near the main train station. The whole family worked for the railway in the station or freight yards. The women had kitchen and cleaning duties while the men worked in maintenance etc. This branch of the family was very close to my branch (Joseph). This branch of the family adopted the surname BOWEN.

It was Charles' family that took in a young girl to the household named Kate. Somehow, while employed or living here, she came to know Joseph BONE. She married Joseph when she was quite young (sixteen I believe) on the pretext that she was pregnant but she wasn't.

Charles' decendants still live in Barrie and I have spoken with one of them.
