Obituary newspaper clipping found in the Goheen Family bible dated Jan 17, 1899.Death of Mrs, Catherine Woods. Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, Mrs Catherine Woods, an aged lady of Centre countyc died at her home in Boalsburg, where whe had lived for the last thirty years. She was about 77 years of age and early in life connected herself with the Presbyterian church, in which she was a great worker. She lived an upright, Christian life and had many friends. Her husband died some years ago. Her children are as follows: Dr Geo. Woods, of Pine Grove Mills; Mrs. Dr. Woods, of Boalsburg; Mrs William Goheen, of near Boalsburg; Mrs. Alice Magoffin, who lived with her mother, and Miss Helen Woods, an instructor in a soldiers' home in Maine. Her son Matthew, who was a minister, died several years ago. The funeral took place Wednesday morning.
