BIOGRAPHY: David Schindler Link was born June 5, 1832, in Augusta Coun ty, Virgi nia. He was baptized in Salem Lutheran Church, August 29, 1 832. David married Elizabeth Ann Quick in Augusta County, July 4, 18 52. Elizabeth was the daughte r of Tumas and Jane Adam Quick and was b orn January 23, 1832, in Augusta County . Almost immediately after th eir marriage, the young couple went to Delaware C ounty, Ohio, where D avid's older brother, John, was already established. Here David and E lizabeth lived and here six of their children were born. Then, aft e r the Civil War ended, they moved to western Illinois, Warren County , where the y secured land and lived near Avon, Illinois, the remainde r of their lives. Eli zabeth died August 24, 1894, at Avon, Illinois , and is buried in Bond Cemetery near there. David lived to be withi n one month and one day of 93, one of the o ldest Link descendants, ab out which the genealogy offers data. David died May 4, 1925, at Avo n and is buried in Bond Cemetery, Greenbush Township, Warren Cou nty , Illinois.
