Name Prefix:<NPFX> Rev. BIOGRAPHY: Adam Schindler Link was born Au gust 13, 181 4, in Augusta County, Virginia. He was baptized at Sale m Lutheran Church, Octob er 2, 1814, his maternal grandparents, Adam S chindler and wife, being the spons ors. Adam studied for the Luthera n ministry, and after ordination became a pion eer preacher in centra l and southern Ohio and in Pennsylvania. Soon after going to Ohio, h e met Elizabeth Reimensnyder, whom he married at Chillicothe. Dat e o f the marriage has not been found. Elizabeth's family was from Aug usta County, and there had furnished a minister to the Lutheran Church , by name Reverend G. H. Reimenschneider (Reimensnyder). Elizabeth wa s born April 1, 1818, probably i n Augusta County. See Chapter 12 fo r more history. Adam died March 30, 1862, ne ar Casstown, Ohio, wher e he and Elizabeth are buried. She died December 8, 1909 . Their young est child, Mrs. Florence Link Stoneburger, lives at this writing i n C incinnati, aged 90. Data are from family and Salem Lutheran church rec ords.
