Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church for Ledvina M. Welle, 81, who died Saturday at her home.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Poor Soul's Society, Holy Rosary Society and St. Mary's Sodality will pray a rosary 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Melrose, followed by parish prayers at 8.
Ledvina Welle was born in Getty Township to Herman and Mina (Wehlage) Berns. She married Wilfred Welle on Oct. 25, 1938, in St. John's Catholic Church, Meire Grove. They farmed in Getty Township until retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Sodality, Holy Rosary Society and Poor Soul's Society.
Survivors include her husband; daughters and sons, Diane Moritz of Waite Park, Grace Carlson and Ken of Albany, David of Rockville, Mark of Sauk Centre, Roger of Greenwald, Allan of Avon, and Tom of Melrose; 35 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
