Francis Adolph Wiesner

(March 25, 1893 - June 7, 1971)

There is 5 miles between the two towns that Frank and Gladys were born in. They courted by horse and buggy in their day. Gladys worked in the printing shop and played the piano in Delano for the silent movies before she married at 16 years of age and Frank was 21 years of age. Frank and Gladys were childhood sweethearts and very much in love.

Frank worked at well drilling and in he fall worked with thrashing crews in North Dakota.

When they were married, Frank started his first shoe repair shop in Miles City, MT. Their son, Earl, was born in Miles City on 24 JUN 1918. Their three daughters were born in Farmington, MN. In 1917, when they lived at 1407 N. Jordan Avenue, Miles City, MT, Frank almost died from influenza.

They owned their own home and had a shoe repair shop there. In 1918, Frank ws a very faithful 7th Day Adventist and planned on becoming an Adventist Preacher, but he never did.

After World War I from shoe and tailor shop, he taught shoe repair at the Mpls. Vocational School with his son, Earl, until he retired. Frank also bought and remodeled many houses (at least 15) and then sold them.

Frank died of congestive heart failure, 20 JUN 1971, at 78 years of age.
