Robert C. Wiesner
(September 8, 1859 - January 20, 1944)
According to the 1920 Census records, Robert (59), Kathrina (59) and son John S. (18) were living at 251 Oak Street in Delano, Wright County, MN. The census states that Robert & Kathrina were born in Germany-Poland.
They immigrated in 1886 and were naturalized in 1888. This census shows Robert as owning his own home free and clear and proprietor of a Shoe Repair Shop. John S. was listed as a Shoemaker in a Shoe Shop.
Tradition says that Robert Wiesner's family took care of the Black Forest in Germany and were Shoemakers.
Robert Wiesner was in the Prussian Army before coming to America. He was Katrina's 2nd Husband (a cousin to her first husband). Her first husband's last name was Frach and her first two children's names were Phillip Frach and Mary Frach (they came from Germany to America with them). They both married and settled in the States of WA and MT.
Robert Wiesner had two sisters and one brother whe came to America. The two sisters married and settled in Delano, Joanna WIESNER KUTZIAN and Marta WIESNER KESSLER, and brother Theodore Wiesner settled in Browns Valley, MN. A son of Kutzien, Charley Kutzian, lived in Minneapolis years ago.
Robert and Katrina Wiesner were Catholic and belonged to the Polish Catholic Church (St. Joseph's Cemetery) in Delano, MN (which is still there as of 3 OCT 1992).
Description of Robert Wiesner on naturalization papers says age 47; height 5'6"; color, white; complexion, light; color of eyes, Blue; Color of hair, light; no distinguishing marks.
LaVerne (Weisner) Lee in a letter in 1993 stated that:
(Our Grandma & Grandpa) came from near (Grandpa) Hamburg, Germany & was a soldier in the Army before coming to America. He was all German.
Grandma came from near Oberslagen, Poland near the border of Germany (She was 1/2 German & 1/2 Polish.

Charles, Tillie, Frank, Emma and Katie, all born 1885-1899.
