Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin Catholic Church for Emma Loecken, 68, who died Monday at Albany Area Hospital.Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at St. Martin Parish Hall. Christian Mothers will pray at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the parish hall in St. Martin, followed by parish prayers at 7:30 and Rosary Sodality at 8.Arrangements were made by Brenny Funeral Home, Albany.
Emma Loecken was born in New Munich to Gerhard and Rosina (Moscho) Hoppe. She married Eugene Loecken on Sept. 6, 1949, in New Munich. She was formerly a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring, from 1949 until 1966, when they moved to St. Martin. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Rosary Sodality and St. Rosa of Lima Mission Group.
Survivors include her husband; children, Eugene Jr. 'Butch' and Beverly of Maryland, Charlene and Charlotte of St. Cloud, Joan Breth of St. Joseph, Mary Wright of Candler, N.C., Deborah of Albany, and Amy Rothstein of Ramsey; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ben, Gene, O'Dillo and Jerome of New Munich.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie; and sister and brother, Agnes Wagner and Nick.
