Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Rosemary Janke, 64, who died Monday at Melrose Area Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 tonight and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Rosemary Janke was born in St. Cloud to Matthew and Mary (Wehsler) Zierden. She worked for several years at Albany Nursing Home. She married Anthony Janke on Feb. 20, 1970, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The couple lived on Big Birch Lake near Grey Eagle before moving to Melrose in 1983. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; children, Brenda VanBeck of Melrose, Anthony Jr. of Minnetonka, Steven of Coon Rapids, Ronald of Lakeville, and Mary Lou Gerads of Grey Eagle; sisters, Theresa Rademacher of Melrose, Delores Dierkhising of New Munich, Margaret Borgerding of Freeport, and Sister Geraldine of St. Joseph; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brothers, Lucille Fischbach, Hubert, Jerome, Art, Edmund, Mathew, and Larry; and one grandchild.
