Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Lucille E. 'Cille' Fischbach, 68, who died Tuesday at St. Cloud Hospital. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. The Melrose VFW Auxiliary will pray at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Melrose, followed by parish prayers at 8.
Lucille Fischbach was born in New Munich to Mathias and Mary (Wehseler) Zierden. She married Ralph M. Fischbach on Dec. 29, 1948, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Munich. The couple lived in Grove Township. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose, St. Elizabeth's Society and Melrose VFW Schanhaar-Otte Post Auxiliary.
Survivors in-clude her husband; daughters and sons, Gladys Henderson of Osakis, Janet Thielen of Richmond, Thomas of Melrose, John of Becker, Donald of St. Cloud, Dennis of Eagan, and Dale of Sauk Centre; sisters, Theresa Rademacher and Rosemary Janke of Melrose, Dolores Dierkhissing of New Munich, Margaret Borgerding of Freeport, and Sister Geraldine, OSB, of St. Joseph; 30 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur, Hubert, Jerome, Edmund and Valerian; and two grandsons.
