Jan 2, 2000 Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church for Christina Peterson, 96, who died Sunday at St. Michael's Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers will pray at 7:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 Wednesday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
Christina Peterson was born in New Munich to Jacob and Appolonia (Homberg) Klapperich. She married Wallace E. Peterson on June 27, 1931, at Assumption Catholic Church, St. Paul. She was employed by U.S. Bedding Co., St. Paul, as a seamstress for six years. The couple moved to a farm near Sauk Centre in October of 1937 where she lived ever since. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons, Donald J. of Albany, Ohio, and Duane E. of Sauk Centre; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 19, 1986. her son, Raymond on Nov. 26, 1982; sisters and brothers, Anna Schaefers, Louise Hageman, Mary, Katie, Gertrude, William and Peter; one granddaughter; twin grandsons in infancy; and two great-grandchildren.
