Sauk Centre - Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church for William Klapperich, 90, Route 3, who died Tuesday at St. Michael's Hospital. The Rev William Garding will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 tonight at Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers will pray at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home followed by parish prayers at 8:30 and Knights of Columbus at 9.
Mr. Klapperich was born Feb 17, 1895 in New Munich to the late Jacob and Appolonia (Homberg) Klapperich. He married Theresa V. Lindeman June 24, 1935 in St. Paul's Catholic Church of Sauk Centre and lived in New Munich before moving to the Melrose area where he farmerd 20 years. He retired in 1959 and moved to the Sauk Centre area where he was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish and Bishop Busch Council 4863 Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Finien, St. Cloud; sisters, Mrs. Louise Hageman, St. Paul; Mrs. Wallace (Christine) Peterson, Sauk Centre; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Pallbearers will be nephews, John O'Malley, George Veeder, Bernard Brownie, Dale Johnson, LuVerne Hollenkamp and Norbert Lindeman.
