Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Irene A. Hein, age 81, of Paynesville, who died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Paynesville Area Hospital. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call after 12 noon on Monday at the church. The Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville made arrangements.
Irene was born September 26, 1925 in Lake Henry, Minnesota to Gerhard and Catherine (Jaeger) Schleper. She graduated from Paynesville High School in 1943. She married Al Hein on November 25, 1948 at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. She worked as a waitress for many years at Franks Café in Paynesville. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Irene enjoyed embroidering, cooking, baking and crossword puzzles. Her pride and joy were her family, grand-children and great grand-children.
Irene is survived by her daughter Suzanne (James) Brick of Lake Henry, son John of Paynesville, daughter-in-law Pat Hein of Morris, six grandchildren: Maria Simon, Kathryn Hermel, Jamey Brick, Andrew Brick, John T. Hein and Amanda Luthi, four great grandchildren: Annika Hein, Noah and Abram Luthi and Owen Brick, sisters Adeline (Peter) Holper of Paynesville and Mary Hagen of Lino Lakes, brother Charlie Schleper of Paynesville, brother-in-law Gil Tolzman of OR, and sister-in-law Lila Hein of Paynesville.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Al on January 11, 2007, sons Timothy in December 1952 and Tom in June 2006, three brothers and three sisters.
