Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Anna Mackedanz, 95, who died Thursday at Koronis Manor Home, Paynesville.Burial will be in the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Roscoe.Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond, with Richmond Senior's, Catholic Aid and Roscoe Christian Women praying a rosary at 4:30 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 8.
Anna Mackedanz was born in Eden Lake Township to Bernard 'Barney' and Elizabeth (Braegelman) Flint. She married Bernard Mackedanz on Sept. 23, 1925, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Roscoe. The couple farmed four miles southeast of Roscoe until their retirement in 1961. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, Catholic Aid and the Roscoe Christian Women.Survivors include her daughters and sons, Julitta Schmitz and Agnes Peine of Richmond, Louise Mehr, Ralph and LeRoy of Paynesville, Vince of Sauk Center, and Jerome of Elk River; brother and sisters, Alphonse of Paynesville, Sister Berno Flint OSB of St. Joseph, and Ceceal Haehn of St. Cloud; 31 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, on March 13, 1989; sisters and brother, Clara Pung, Verena and Ben; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
