Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Roscoe for Ralph F. Mackedanz, age 77, of Roscoe, who died Friday at Regions Hospital in Minneapolis. Fr. Leo Leisen will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Agnes Parish Cemetery in Roscoe. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville. St. Louis Knights of Columbus Council 3820 and St. Joseph's Men's Society of Roscoe will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Ralph was born October 11, 1926 in Eden Lake Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Ben and Anna (Flint) Mackedanz. He farmed the family farm east of Paynesville with his brother LeRoy until 1988. Since 1988 he has worked for the Paynesville Cenex Fertilizer Plant. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, St. Louis Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Men's Society of Roscoe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and family.
Surviving Ralph are his brothers and sisters Jerome (Marie) of Elk River, LeRoy (Joyce) of Paynesville, Julitta Schmitz of Richmond, Agnes Peine of Richmond and Louise (Cyril) Mehr of St. Martin, sister-in-law Joan Mackedanz of Sauk Centre and 30 nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Vince, brother-in-laws Jerome Schmitz and Steve Peine and three nieces. Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville made the arrangements.
