Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thurs., Aug. 30, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Pay-nesville for Alphonse H. Flint, 86, of Paynesville, who died Sun. at his home. Entombment will take place in the St. Louis Parish Mausoleum in Paynesville. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. on Wed. at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville, & one hour prior to services at the church on Thurs. Parish Prayers will be held at 8 p.m. followed by the St. Louis Knights of Columbus rosary at 8:30 p.m. on Wed. at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville.
Alphonse was born May 22, 1915, in rural Roscoe, MN, to Bernard & Elizabeth (Braegelman) Flint. He married Sally Klassen on Sept. 14, 1943, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin. They farmed in the Roscoe area until 1972 when they retired & moved to Paynesville.
Surviving Alphonse are his sons, Jerry (Doris) Flint, Allentown, PA, Leon (Linda) Flint, Richmond, Kevin (Carla) Kroll, St. Stephen, & Kim Kroll, Little Falls; 14 grandchildren; & sisters, Sr. Borno Flint, OSB, St. Joseph, & Ceal Haehn, St. Cloud.
