Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at Saint Mary¹s Catholic Church in Melrose. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Schanhaar-Otte VFW Post 7050 Auxiliary, Christian Mothers, Catholic Order of Foresters, and Catholic Aid will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Renee Ann Moening was born in Melrose to Joseph and Anna (Hemmesch) Otte. She married Tony J. Moening on October 17, 1938 in Wilmar.
Survivors include her husband, Tony J. Moening of Melrose; children, Diane (Don) Kerfeld of St. Paul, Jane Moening of Braham, and Gary (Rita) Moening of Cold Spring; daughter-in-law, Dianne (Harry) Kerfeld of Freeport; brother, Buzz (Eileen) Otte of St. Cloud; sisters-in-law, Addie Otte of Stillwater, Ces Otte of Wilmar; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tom Moening; siblings, Erv Otte, Happy ³Bud² Otte, and Delores Kluempke.
