Services will be 8 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, for Imelda M. Spaeth, 65, who died Wednesday at St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud.Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.Arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Imelda Spaeth was born in Farming to Albert and Elizabeth (Egerman) Backes. She married Roman Spaeth on Aug. 17, 1953, in Farming. She worked for Cold Spring Veterinary Clinic for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Home, Paynesville. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Kathy Cherney of Pasco, Wash.; sisters and brothers, Esther Bien of North Lake, Ill., Florence Goelz of Spring Hill, Fla., Mildred Schulte, Irene Plantenburg and Rosalie Thomas of Richmond, Joan Gerber of Minnetonka, Marie Ebnet of Melrose, James of West Union, George and Eugene of St. Cloud; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her brother, Karl.Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
