Roman Spaeth was born November 7,1929 in Padua, MN to Edward and Catherine (Detters) Spaeth. He married Imelda M. Backes on August 17,1953 in Farming, MN. Roman served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond, MN and the Cold Spring VFW.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn (Terry) Cherney of Richland, WA; two grandchildren, Holly and Aaron; great grandson, Anthony; step mother Carolyn Spaeth of Cold Spring, MN; brothers, Alvin (Bonnie) Spaeth of Sun Lakes Arizona; Norbert (Teresa) Spaeth of Aitkin, MN; Jimmy (Mary) Spaeth of Illinois; one sister, Shirley (Tom) Jungels of Edina, MN, and sister - in - law, Joyce Spaeth of Annandale, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imelda, on November 17, 1999 and brother, Vern Spaeth.
