GREENVILLE - John Thomas Dyer, 96, died Wednesday at a Monson nursing home. He was born April 30, 1871 in Bucksport,the son of Philip and Mary Ann (Hall) Dyer. He moved to Greenville at the age of 14 and has lived at First Roach Pond, Frenchtown for 43 years, where he was caretaker of private sporting camps. He was a guide and a trapper. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose (Wakely) Dyer, one son, John F. of Greenville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church Friday at 9 a.m. with the Rev. Laurent Patinaude officiating. Friends may call at the Harvey Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon and evening.Endnotes
