NEWPORT, Feb. 3 - Mrs. Ardra (Estabrook) Ramsey, 75, died Wednesday evening in a Hartland hospital after a long illness. Born in Linneus, daughter of George and Millicent Estabrook, she had lived in Smyrna Mills and several other Maine communities, coming with her family to Newport six years ago. She attended the High Street Union church. A dressmaker by trade, she attended a millinery school in Boston, Mass., after attending the public schools in Linneus. Surviving are her husband, Weldon E. Ramsey; a son, Kenneth E. Estabrook; and three grandchildren, all of Newport; four brothers, Frank Estabrook of Houlton, Wayne Estabrook of Smyrna Mills, George Estabrook of Bangor and Wilburt Estabrook of Biddeford; an uncle, Charles Estabrook of Houlton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Farnham funeral home, Rev. John H. Miller, pastor of the High Street Union church, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverside cemetery.Endnotes
