Marriage Notice
The marriage of Miss Mary T. Sweeney of Bangor and Fred H. Lowell of Orono took place on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in St. John's Catholic church, the ceremony being performed by Rev. P. J. Gerrity. The bride was most becomingly gowned in white batiste, with veil, caught with orange blossoms, and was attended by Miss Lillian Connelley of Bangor, as bridesmaid, who wore pink with picture hat to match. WASHINGTON, D. C., Jan 9 - Fred H. Lowell, 70, formerly of Bangor, died at his home in Washington, Monday. He was a retired railroad man and had been employed by the Maine Central Railroad many years in Bangor. Surviving are two sons, William J., and Edward H., of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Barry and Mrs. William Cooper of Washington; a brother, George E. Lowell of Portland, Maine; a sister, Mrs. Benjamin Charles of Washington and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Washington.Endnotes
