Marriage Notice (family)
The marriage of William J. Sweney of Bangor and Miss Ethel Lowel of Orono, was solemnized in St. Mary's Church, Orono, Thursday afternoon at [?] o'clock. The clergyman was Rev. J. M. Harrington and the ceremony was witnessed by relatives and friends of the couple. Miss Daisy Lowell, a sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Francis Higgins of Bangor was groomsman. The bride was gowned in mole colored broadcloth, trimmed with silk braid, wor a white swan's down hat and carried a prayer book. The bridesmaid was dressed in brown foulard silk with blue picture hat. Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Lowell, on Pine street. Mr. and Mrs. Sweeney left on the afternoon train. Among the out of town guests present were Mr. and Mrs. John McCarthy and daughter Elizabeth, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lowell, Miss May Canty, Mr. Hennessey, Miss Agnes Hennessey, Mrs. A. Reavill, Mrs. Sweeney, Mrs. Thomas Quinn and Harold Wakely of Bangor, and Miss Hilda McKinnon of Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kratzenberg and Thomas Spellman of Bangor.Obituary
The death of Mary E., wife of William J. Sweeney of this city, occurred in Orono, Monday, at the age of 20 years. Mrs. Sweeney had resided in Bangor until two or three weeks ago when being taken ill, she went to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell, in Orono. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Sweeney leaves two brothers, Fred Lowell of Bangor and George Lowell of Orono, and two sisters, Mrs. F. Charles of Lakewood, N.J., and Miss Florence Lowell of Orono. The funeral will be announced.Death Notice

The funeral of Mrs. William Sweeney of Bangor, who died at the home of her mother, was held from the church of St. Mary's of the Assumption Thursday forenoon. Rev. Fr. J. M. Harrington officiated. The bearers were: James McCarthy, Francis Higgins, Thomas Curran and David Higgins. The interment was at Riverside Cemetery.Endnotes
