Samuel Monroe McCarter, well known Grayson county citizen, died at his home near Elk Creek early this morning (April 4).
He was a son of the late Van McCarter and wife Mrs. Amanda Cornett McCarter. His wife, Mrs. Eugenia Clark McCarter, died April 15, 1954.
A daughter, Mrs. E. V. Ennis, Elk Creek survives.
Funeral arrangement were incomplete this morning.
