Betsey Angell

Betsey Angell was born in 1796 to Asa and Cynthia Hill Angell, probably in New Berlin Chenango, New York, her family had probably moved to New Berlin from Providence when Dexter was a baby. Betsey married Nathaniel Foote and became a widow at 45. They had no children but devoted their lives to taking care of Nathaniel Foote's family and maintaining their family farm (The Foote Family page 308). As a widow Betsey lived with her brother Dexter's 2nd wife and widow for a time then lived alone in New Berlin until her death.
