Leydia Connable

(April 23, 1795 - October 23, 1854)

Leydia was born April 23, 1795 in Berndardston. When she was 18 her father died, her brother Joseph became her guardian. Leydia married at age 20 Obed Gaines, the family moved a lot. Leydia was the mother of 8 children which included a set of triplets. When Leydia and Obed were moving to Iowa near her sons Obed and William N, in 1854 she died of Cholera and is buried in an old cemetery near Dunkerton, Iowa.
