The beginnings of Woodstock via Morris and Bowen with John Eliot Apostle to the Indians encouraged Indians to recreate a Christian Society. Edward Morris may have been an assistant to John Eliot. John was successful. In the 1660s there were 14 towns of Praying Indians. All of this was for nought when King Philip’s War broke out in 1675-Endnotes
