Elizabeth Bowman
(1769 - 1864)
Elizabeth Bowman was born in Pennsylvania into a community of emigrants. She married John George Harter and they left the city for Ohio with John George's brother and family. They settled pretty much in the wilderness and by 1800 or so it became Plain Township, Ohio. Elizabeth and John Harter stayed in Plain, Ohio and lots of their descendants stayed there too.
