The Will of Richard GriffithsRichard Griffiths of Glas-Curte Villa, Prospect Place, Llanelly in the county of Carmarthen, miller. He gives to his son Richard Griffiths both his leasehold messuages or dwelling houses, stables and premises situated at Glas-Curte, Prospect Place mentioned above and then occupied by himself and The Reverend William Denny. He also gives to Richard the piece of adjoining land not then built upon. And also his cart and horse and harness and all his articles, tools and implements in the Lower Mill, Llanelly. He gives another leasehold dwelling house and premises at Glas-Curte occupied by Mary Davies to his daughter Jane, wife of George Anfield, separate from the controlof her husband. He gives another leasehold dwelling house at Glas-Curte,occupied by William Michael to his daughter Mary Ann, wife of William Michael, separate from the control of her husband. He gives another leasehold dwelling house and premises at Glas-Curte, then occupied by William Evans to his daughterCatherine, wife of Griffith Griffiths, separate from the control of her husband. Lastly he gives to his trustees and executors of his will all the other leasehold dwelling houses and premises at Glas-Curte respectively occupied by John Phillips and Jane Anfield. He wills that his household furniture and effects be converted in to money and divided equally between his grandchildren Cissy, Annie and Arthur Phillips when they reach the age of 21. He directs that the ground rent of the said leased property of £7 2s 6d be divided as follows:
£4 2s 6d to son Richard.
£1 to daughter Jane.
£1 to daughter Mary Ann.
£1 to daughter Catherine.
The £300 mortgage debt on the said property owed to Mr William Isaac be paid by daughter Catherine from the moneys received by thebeneficiaries of his will. He directs the trusties and executors to pay his funeral and testamentary expenses from his club moneys. The executors of the will were son Richard Griffiths and The Reverend Anthony Britton, vicar of Dafen.
The witness was son Richard Griffiths in the presence of T Phillips and James Peregrine, clerks to Mr D Randell, solicitor of Llanelly.
