The Llangunnor Parish Records state that - on the 13th of November 1810. Richard Rees, widower of this parish and Catherine Griffith, widow of this parish at Llangunnor by licence. By Thomas Price, vicar. In the presence of John Rees, Henry Davies and Thomas Davies.Will
To her sons David, Thomas and Richard Griffiths she gives £1 each (£58.53 in 2005). She states that her son William Griffiths should continue to be given a home with her son John Rees (William's half-brother) at Penddaulwyn Isaf. If John and William should fail to live comfortably together, then William should leave Penddaulwyn Isaf and all his possessions there. If he does leave then he is to be given £15 (£877.95 in 2005). Catherine leaves every thing else namely the residue of her estate, farm stock, crops, implements of husbandry, dairy utensils and household furniture to her son John Rees.The will was witnessed by John Evans, farmer of Penddaulwyn Fawr and Harry Richards, of Capel Dewi Isaf.
