Individual Details
Rachel Lyons
(Abt 1835 - 1872)
It is not clear whether her birth year is in 1835, 1836 or 1837.
In the 1871 Federal Census of Ontario she is listed as age 36, born in Ireland and living with her husband and family in Mulmur Township, Dufferin/Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.
In family hand-down tradition, it is believed Rachel was scared by a bull in 1872 when pregnant with Louisa and went into labor. Louisa survived but Rachel did not.
