Elizabeth Flatt

In the 1871 she is living with her family in Mulmur Township, Dufferin/Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.
Emigrated from Dufferin County, Ontario, Canada with her husband and settled in Gardner, Cass County, North Dakota in 1892/3.
In 1900 the family are living in Gardner Township, Cass County.
In 1901 the family homesteaded in Deering Township, McHenry County, North Dakota.
Thomas returned to Gardner to dispose of their former home, contracted pneumonia and passed away there in January, 1903.
on 8 June 1908, Elizabeth received a land patent for the homestead property in Township 157, Range 80, Section 19 and son James received one for Section 18 next to it although James only farmed the section and did not live on it..
In the 1910 Census Elizabeth, James, Velma, and grandson Rodger (son of daughter Sarah Elizabeth and Charles Williams) are still living on Section 18.
In the 1925 North Dakota State Census she is still with son James in Deering.
