Thomas G. Flatt Obituary - The Billings Gazette of 25 Mar 1973:
"LIVINGSTON -- Thomas G. Flatt, 95, died Friday morning after a long illness at Friendship Manor rest home where he had been a patient for five years.
He was born Jan. 13, 1878, in Ontario, Canada, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George [sic] Flatt.
He moved to North Dakota, as child [sic].
He married Roxina Collins on Dec. 24, 1900, in Gardener [sic], N.D., where they ranched until 1917. They moved to Carter, Mont., where he operated a grain elevator until he retired in 1958. After his retirement he moved to Park County.
Survivors include a son Robert of Livingston; two sisters, Mrs. Emogene Gould and Mrs. Mae Collins, both of California; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Croxford Funeral Home in Great Falls. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery."
Another obituary of unknown source and date: "Ex-Carter man dies in Livingston. Thomas G. Flatt, 95, manager of a grain elevator in the Carter area from 1917 to 1958, died in a Livingston rest home Saturday. Flatt had moved to Livingston, where his son, Robert, lives, in 1958. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Croxford & Sons Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Flatt was born Jan. 13, 1878 in Ontario, Canada. He married Roxina May Collins Dec. 24, 1900 in Gardner, N.D. They came to the Carter area in 1917. She died in 1942. Surviving beside their son are seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Emogene Gould and Mrs. Mae Collins, both of California."
