OCCUPATION: By the year 1883 he is working for his father in the grocery
business in Hudson, Wisconsin; in 1883 he is in the grocery business in
Minneapolis; in 1893 there are two stores in Minneapolis at 223 No. Washington
and at 221 Nicollet Avenue; in 1895 he is working as a salesman for the John C.
Johnson Company (wholesale grocers). In 1897, Jennie Lucks has a grocery store
in her name at 1621 Nicollet and Oscar is the manager. By 1902 the family has
moved to Seattle, Washington. (Jean Forney book).

An infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lucks, died at their home in Minneapolis, Saturday last, of croup. The funeral took place at the residence of Mr. J. J. Lucks in this city, Sunday afternoon. The breaved parents have the sympathy of a large circle of Hudson friends. [This would be Ione, their first child. They have two more children, a daughter Florence, in 1888, and a son Carl, in 1892.]
