Reuben C. Shefland, 68, New Richmond, died Wednesday, November 7, at home.
He was born June 23, 1911 to Sarah (Lundy) and Omann Shefland in Story City, Iowa.
He married Alyce Radunzel in Woodville on June 19, 1935.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rodger (Shirley) Flatland, New Richmond and Miss Jacolyn Shefland, St. Paul; one son, Gene Shefland, Ft. Dodge, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Stella) Nelson, North Hollywood, California; four half-sisters, Bertha Clarke, Mnneapolis, Mrs. Ann Wegeland, Thor, Iowa, Mrs. Melenda Erickson, Waterloww, Iowa and Mrs. Isabella McLaughlin, Los Angeles, California.
He was preceded in death by one son, John Charles Shefland.
Services were Sunday, November 11, at the First Lutheran church in New Richmond with Rev. Eugene Wekander officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Wesley, Jonathon, Michael and Rodney Flatland. Active pallbearers were Victor, Elynn and Duanne Lee and Oscar Lee, Jr., Kent and Richard Radunzel. Interment was in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Woodville.
