Former Hudsonites Will Observe Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O. Shefland, Minneapolis; formerly of Hudson, Wisconsin, will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary at an open house on Sunday, December 14, at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Juel C. Shefland, 331 Busch Terrace, Minneapolis. Hours are 2 to 5 p.m. and no cards have been sent.
Mr. and Mrs. Shefland were married December 18, 1902 at Radcliffe, Iowa. They have two other children, Orvie of Minneapolis and Almira (Mrs. Francis E. Harroun) of Akron, Ohio. There are four grandchildren.

Joseph O. Shefland, 88, of Minneapolis, a former resident of Hudson, died Saturday, Nov. 30.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline, and son Juel, of Minneapolis, a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Elmira) Harround of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One son preceded him in death, Orval, on Nov. 22, 1967. Three brothers, Oscar of Richfield, Clarence of Lakefield and Reuben at the Hudson Concalescent Home; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Erickson of Lakefield, Mrs. Howard Osborne of Shenandoah, Iowa and Mrs. Stella Nelson of North Hollywood, Calif.
Services were Tuesday p.m., Dec. 3, at Wernes Bros. Chapel in Minneapolis.
