IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Elizth Heard of St Marys County Wido being sick and weak of Body but of sound Memory thanks be th God and calling to mind ye uncertainty of this life do make and ordain and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament
1st I give and bequeath unto my three Daughters Eliza Wiseman, Mary Greenwell, and Priscilla Gough five shillings Curt money to each of them and no more of my Estate.
2nd I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elinor Clark one cow and calfe and no more of my Estate.
3rd I give and bequeath unto my son Luke Heard one Negro boy called Henry to him and his heirs
also I give to my said son Luke Heard the large Table and Cubbard standing in the hall and a feather bed wth Curtains Valn Rug Blankett and a pr of sheets to be at his Choice also Two cows and Calves and three head of sheep and a horse called Brand and a chest standing in my roome and six head of hogs and a Diaber Table Cloath and three napkins one pewter Dish and six plates and two pewter Basons and one looking glass and three Leather Chayeres
4thly I give and bequeath unto my Son Mathew Heard one feather bed wth Curtains Valn Rugg Blanket and a pr Sheets at his Choyce after my son Luke has made his Choyce and two cows and calves and three head of sheep and three head of hogs and a chest upstairs and a Table Cloath and Three Napkins and Desk Standing in my Roome and a pewter Dish and six plates and two pewter Basons and one Looking glasse and three Leather Chairs and one Negro Girl called Monica.
5thly I give and bequeath all the Remaining part of my whole Estate to be Equally divided between my three sons Vizt Mark Heard, Matthew Heard, and Luke Heard and their heirs.
IN TESTIMONY hereof and for the fulfilling of this my Will and Testament I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my beloved sons Matthew Heard and Luke Heard my true and Lawfull Executors
IN WITNESS thereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the 30th Day of April 1745 Eliza (her mark) Heard

On the Back of the foregoing Will was thus Written Ste Mary County St Marcy ye 6th 1750 Then Mary Bright and Edward Cole two of the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Will being duly and Solemnly Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God di(s)pose and Say that they saw the Testator Elizth Heard sign the foregoing Will and heard her publish and declare the .... to be her last Will and Testament that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of the apprehension of sound and disposing mind and memory.
