Death
CLARKSBURG — Austie Mae (Furr) Greaver, 68, passed to be with our Lord on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at 4 p.m. in the United Hospital Center, after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 30, 1936, in Harrison County, daughter of the late Reverend John Wesley and Gracie Mae (Enoics) Furr. She attended the Harrison County public schools, and was a member of The First Kingdom Heir’s Baptist Church of Hepzibah, Harrison County, which she and her husband established in June 1983. She and her children were gospel singers, and she played the guitar for the group. She is survived by her husband, Reverend John E. Greaver of Glen Falls, whom she married on Sept. 5, 1958. Also surviving are two sons, John E. Greaver, Jr., and wife Debra of Glen Falls, Mark Dwayne Greaver and wife Sherry of Valley Head; two daughters, Martha Jean Blake and husband Rick of Salem, Elizabeth Ann Bartlett and husband Charles of West Milford; 11 grandchildren, John Daniel (J.D.) Greaver, Amanda Greaver, and Andrea Greaver, Timmy and Jamie Blake (twins) and Andy Blake, Samantha and Christina Bartlett, Melia, Josiah and Micah Greaver; great-grandchildren, Ethan Greaver, Haven Gabbert, Sabbath Chappell, Landon Greaver, and Kasalyn Cunningham; one brother, Richard Furr of Akron, Ohio. Mrs. Greaver was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Furr and James Furr, and two sisters, Aretta (Furr) Day, and Mary (Furr) Shingleton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Greaver was a homemaker, member of the ladies auxiliary of the First Kingdom Heirs Baptist Church, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive/Rt. 98, Clarksburg, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, where funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at 1 p.m. The Reverend Dwayne Cumberledge will officiate.
