Death
MIDDLEBROOK — William Franklin Furr, 75, of Star Rt. B, Staunton, died Saturday morning (July 12, 1969) in King’s Daughters’ Hospital. He was born in Augusta County June 15, 1894, a son of John W, and Maggie (Pannell) Furr. Mr. Furr was a farmer. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret (Howdyshell) Furr; two stepsons, Lawrence and Ronald Howdyshell, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning from the Rosen Funeral Home, in Middblebrook conducted by the Rev. Beverly B. Good, pastor of the Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Roy and Allen Wright, John P. Henderson, Harvey M. Troxell and Lloyd Derrer. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Brooks, Charles Botkin, Lewis Truslow, Charles L. and Joseph E. Furr and George Jarvis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30-| 8:30 p.m. today.Endnotes
