Death
Mrs. Margaret H. Furr, 72, formerly of Star Rt. B,Staunton, and widow of William Franklin Furr, died Tuesday evening (Feb. 3, 1976) in King’s Daughters’ Hospital. She was born at Stokesvilleon April 18, 1904, a daughter of Samuel Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Daggy) Howdyshell and was a member of Arbor Hill Church of the Brethren. Surviving are a son, Lawrence M. Howdyshell of Northfield, Ohio; a brother, Roy Howdyshell of Staunton; a sister, Mrs. Viola Wright of Staunton; two grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hamrick Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Fuller. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harold and Connard Howdyshell, Buddy Piner, Russell Brooks, Charles Botkin, W. Dan Thomas, George Jarvis and Louis Truslow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.Endnotes
