Staunton, January 19, 1875. In the ease of the killing of Richard Lirick the verdict of the coroner's jury was that the deceased came to his death by a blow with a rock in the forehead thrown by George H. Furr, and they further found that John Furr, son of the said George H. Furr, was an accessory to the killing. In consequence of this verdict John Furr, a boy about twelve years of age, was on yesterday evening arrested and committed to jail by Justice E. M. Cushing on the charge of being an accessory to the murder.

Note: The stone was handed him by his little son, who was arrested and lodged in jail on account of being an accessory to the deed, but against whom the grand jury found "not a true bill.”
