BROWNWOOD, Tex, May 30 (AP) — Four Comp Bowle soldiers were sentenced today in district court to prison terms for slugging Wilbur Watkins, Brownwood taxi driver, stripping him and taking his car near here March 2. George B. Mason, 17, of Beaver Dam, Ky., was given five years; George Thompson, Jr, of Wheatland, Ill., Ernesosa Patrick of Indiana and Olen L. Furr of West Virginia, all 20 years ald, were given six years on robbery and assault charges.

FURR JR ., OLEN LACO A retired brick mason and resident of Zachary , he died at 5:05 a .m . Friday , Nov. 1, 1996 , at Lane Memorial Hospital , Zachary . He was 74 and a native of Punxsutawney , Pa . He was a member of Brick Masons Local No . 5 and a U .S . Army veteran. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc ., Zachary , 8:30 a .m . Monday until religious services at 10 a .m ., conducted by the Rev . Kenneth Laird . Burial in Azalea Rest Cemetery. Survived by a daughter , Rosa Marie Triche , Walker ; two sons , William R . "Bill " Furr , Zachary ; and Olen L . Furr III , Slaughter ; two sisters , Mary Avanelle Carder ,Indianapolis , Ind ., and Wynifred Joswick , Salem , W .Va .; a brother , Ferrell Furr , Silver Springs , Md .; six grandchildren , and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife , Livinia Verspreet Furr ; a daughter , Patricia Furr Howze ; and parents , Olen Laco and Marie Kathern Kinney Furr .
