Death
Turner C. Furr Funeral services were held Friday from Ives Funeral Home, Arlington, for Turner Cleveland Furr who died Wednesday at his residence in Arlington. Services were conducted by Revs. Japhett, Selligman and Orier. Mr. Furr, 55, was born near Bluemont and the son of Townsend and Mary Alexander Furr. He leaves many friends here who remember him as one of the outstanding musicians in this county some twenty years ago, and who has since devoted much of his time to sacred music. For the past seventeen years he was employed with Woodward and Lothrop. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katherine E. Furr, two sons, Minor C., William C., and four daughters, Cathleene A., Divie E. and Alma L. Furr and Mrs. Marvin Thomas. Interment was in National Memorial Cemetery, near Falls Church.The Loudoun News, Leesburg, Virginia, January 16, 1941
