Death
James E. Furr Sr., 61, of Star Route East, Ligonier, died in Latrobe Area Hospital, Monday, June 28, 1976. Mr. Furr was born August 31, 1914 in Virginia, a son of the late Charles and Louise Furr. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Doris M. Furr; one daughter, Mrs. Doris C. Graham of Monks Corner, South Carolina, one son, James E. Jr. of Bridgeport, New York; seven grandchildren; one brother Clarence and one sister, May Dunbar both of Middleburg, Virginia. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Owen Wolford Funeral Home, Ligonier. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 10a.m. Thursday with the Rev Joseph Zavadsky officiating. Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
