Notes
Death
Death came quietly to Mrs. Blanche Mageath Furr, 92, widow of Johnson Furr, at her home near Aldie last Friday. Although in failing health for many months, her death was unexpected. Her passing was the fourth in her immediate family within a few months, three sons having preceded her since August past. A member of a highly esteemed Loudoun County family, Mrs. Furr was an active force in church and civic affairs in her community until her age rendered her unable to carry on her duties. She will be greatly missed in her community where the greater part of her life was spent. Following services at her home by her pastor, interment was made in Sharon cemetery, Middleburg, beside two of her sons, Harry and Irving, whose recent deaths, with that of another son, Otto, so greatly taxed her failing strength. Surviving Mrs. Furr are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Smith and Mrs. Virginia Goode, both of this county, and a 'number of grandchildren. The Blue Ridge Herald, Purcellville, Virginia, December 18, 1947
