Death
Johnson Furr, farmer and philosopher, died on Friday of last week at Sibley Hospital in Washington after an operation which followed an illness of nearly 13 weeks. He was born in Loudoun Co on Dec. 27th, 1846, being the son of William and Emsey Furr. He married Miss Blanche Megeath who survives him. Born to this union were six children all of whom survive him. They are Mrs. Will Nevitt, Mrs. Ed. Smith, Mrs. William Goode and Harry Furr all of Aldie, Otto Furr of Middleburg and Irving Furr of Washington. Burial took place in Sharon Cemetery near Middleburg on Sunday, conducted by Rev. A. S. Gibson, rector of the Protestant Episcopal Church in Aldie.Endnotes
