Death
Vernese Pollock, 93, of Lincoln died at 1:20 p.m. Friday, July 7, 1989, at Doctors Hospital, Springfield. Mrs. Pollock was a member of Holy Family Church. She was a psychiatric aid for 25 years, retiring in 1965. She was born July 18, 1895 in Virden, a daughter of Michael and Susan Buchina Tutter. She married Loren Pollock Sept. 26, 1953 in Lincoln. He died April 1, 1984. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Colletta Swingle of Lincoln; one sister, Katherine Tutter of Lincoln; seven grand children; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers, three daughters and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with the rosary recited at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sunshine Meadow Health Care Center or to Holy Family Church.Endnotes
