Death
ALGER - Willis E. Furr, 50, of Kansas City, Mo., died at midnight Saturday at Kansas City General Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1923, in McGuffey, he was the son of John W. and Lucy Horn Furr. Surviving are three daughters, Sharon, Teressa and Karen and three sons, Willis Jr., Edward and Ronald, all of St. Louis, Mo.; a grandchild; and four brothers, John of Alger, Charles of Lima, Harry of McGuffey and Floyd of Lakeside, Calif. He was a veteran of World War II. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanson Funeral Home, Alger, Rev. Willard Thomas officiating, with burial in Preston Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.Published in The Lima News, Monday, April 29, 1974
